I feel so sad that my first week with UltimateOz is already over! As I'm a Belgian girl, travelling on my own, I didn't know anyone before I arrived in Sydney. Luckily this week with UltimateOz gave me the chance to make new friends and have such a great experience here. We went on basecamp, made a campfire, had a bbq, met a kangarou/koala, went to Bondi beach and I got my first surf lessons! I would recommend UltimateOz to everyone who wants make fun! Had the most brilliant week with Ultimae Oz! The guide was amazing, knew his stuff, whitty and a very funny guy. He knew alot about the area, where the best places to go where and where to get all the cheap luxuries. The organisation of the entire week was very well set up, we knew where to be and what to do everyday of the week. The accomodation is very nice, takes a bit of getting used to at first thought. We had the most enjoyable week in sydney yet. Would defiunitely recommend this to anyone and everyone who is looking to start an amazing year in sydney travelling! Worth every single penny!!!! Awesome trip, amazing value for money. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling to Aus, especially on your own because you meet lots of great people. Socially, regardless of your nature you will make lasting friends during your time with Ultimate Oz, as like minded travelers enjoying new experiences with new people. This has honestly been one of the best weeks of my life. I met so many great people, 10 of us even stayed together to do the East coast together! The activities were so much fun, Basecamp was amazing (personally I was a really big fan of the sandboarding =)), the boat cruise was very nice as well! Basically everything was fantastic. I'm very happy I still got to know Holly, good thing I didn't come a week later. She was an awesome tour leader! Loved the harbour cruise and basecamp was sooo siiickk!, But the best part of the week was the people i spent it with. Only slight letdown was the transport back from basecamp took ages, but worth the time spent in basecamp. What an amazing way to start a year in oz! Had a blast with my new mates. Loved being on the boat, in the sun, LOVED base camp, campfire on the beach rocked my world, beach walk was fantastic and of course party bus was the ULTIMATE-of-OZ!!!

Great start to an adventure Down-under. I got to meet alot of others who had just arrived in Sydney and had all different plans for their own adventures. Possibly you'll meet some travelmates, surely you'll make new friends. The guides are nice, down to earth and very interested in helping whether it is planning onward travels or finding jobs and accomodation in Sydney. From Wednesday to Friday we went to basecamp, which was a great expirience. Basecamp was close to the beach and we got to see both kangaroos, koalas and dolphines.

UltimateOz was a great way to start my year in Australia. You could really hit the ground running when you arrive as you know everything has been taken care of and you dont spend the first week trying to sort things out and making sure you haven't forgotten anything. This leaves plenty of time to meet new people and soak in the city. The highlights for me were the harbour cruise and basecamp. Both experiences I will never forget. I would also highly recommend Dave's moon rise party, although it's a very exclusive guestlist! Overall UltimateOz is a must do. There are some things that maybe would have gone smoother if there was a plan B, but you can't control mother nature and these things happen. Just book it!!Mark S, 15 Oct 2012

A passer une très bonne semaine avec le groupe, de belle rencontre s'en est suivie. Seul regret de ne pas avoir pu faire la tournée des plages a cause du mauvais temp mais bon. The Sydney 7 Day tour was amazing! It was the best way that I could have started off my trip in Australia and was well worth it! I did this program a week ago and it was a great way to be introduced to the city, meet similar people and get a general idea of what to do in Australia. I was lucky to have some ace people in my group and valuable contacts that I know will come in handy during my stay in Australia. Base camp was simply phenomenal. Such an awesome place with so much to do - I'd have been happy if my whole week was there! The journey back was a bit of a nightmare due to the trains, so I dunno, I'd say alternative means of transport would be a good idea in future - but all things considered we still got back okay - albeit rather smelly. Good thing being, after this week is done then you still have full support from the UltimateOz team for the durations - Danny is pretty damn phenomenal at getting cheap deals and bargains and I know I'll be phoning here before anywhere else for anything I need excursion or hostel-wise whilst I'm here. Knows what he's on about too, which helps weed out all the 'must do's that everyone keeps telling you to do whilst you're here.
UltimateOZ was the best way to start my stay in Australia and all things considered, I'd do it again. You do meet some awesome people, and that's worth the money alone. Plus when you realise how expensive everything is in Australia it's a godamn steal!Rhyan C, 11 Oct 2012

Doing a start up week in Sydney with Ultimate Oz is a total must for people travelling alone and willing to make new friends fast. The week is completely planned and taken care of: you'll be staying in one of the best hostels in Sydney, you'll be given an Australian simcard, you'll get a taxnumber and they'll even set up a bank account for you. The moment you arrive in Sydney, almost everything you need is taken care of already. The guides are fun, have done the program themselves at some point in time, and know what they are talking about. The office is always open for questions, as are the guides. Highlights of the week, for me, were the Sydney Harbour cruise, Base Camp and the Party Bus on Saturday night. If you are thinking about coming to Sydney, Australia, but you're going to be alone and don't want to take care of all the necessities yourself, you should definetely check out Ultimate Oz. I was spectial at first deciding whether to sign up because I could figure everything out on my own. With the help of UltimateOZ it has made my trip so much easier. This week long adventure was absolutely fantastic.
Our tourguide Dave was enthusiastic and proved very knowledgable about all the myriad of topics and questions that were thrown at him by our diverse group. He truly seemed as excited to be doing the different excursions and activities as we were.
We had a gorgeous day for the boat cruise around Sydney harbour the second day. It was a great opportunity to see the city and to get to know everyone a little bit. What a beautiful city Sydney is!
My favorite part of the week was hands down the tiem we got to spend at Basecamp in Port Stephens. Beautiful beaches, sand boarding, seeing dolphins and petting a kangaroo? What more could a traveller from Canada ask for!

I really enjoyd my time with UltimateOz, really worth the money for what you get and I would recommend this to everyone as it has been a lot less stressful than it would have been. The Accommodation is one of the best hostels that i have stayed in whilst in Australia. Holly was our tour guide on Basecamp and it was one of the best things i have done so far. It is really easy to get around and the ultimate oz group have been amazing in placing us in different hostels. Our first week was packed with fun ....and lots of alcohol :). Im here since only 2 weeks but with my new friends i feel as at home!! Everyday we do something new and funny...as the city tour, the welcome dinners at sidebar, the lunch in a fantastic restourant where you can see all the harbour(sorry i dont remember the name), the crazy nights at the worlds bar, at the gaff( pay attention at the barman) or sugar mills!!! Here you can enjoy yourself everytime, the day at the beach and the night in some clubs!!
